Author Information

Jim Heid is one of the most highly regarded computer authors and trainers in the United States. A columnist for Macworld magazine since 1985, he has also been the personal technology columnist for the Los Angeles Times, a frequent contributor to PC World, Internet World, andNewsweek magazines. He is the author of several best-selling books, including The Macintosh iLife `05 (Peachpit, 04/05). Jim is editorial director and a partner in Avondale Media, producers of DVD-based instruction and conferences. Nikos Theodosakis is a filmmaker and the author of the book The Director in the Classroom: How Filmmaking Inspires Learning. A frequent keynote speaker and presenter at education conferences throughout North America, he has worked with students and teachers from kindergarten to college, exploring the use of filmmaking as a tool for classroom teaching and learning. His innovative classroom-to-community approach has earned him numerous awards in Canada, where he lives.
