Author Information

Farah Downing is the author of several children’s books and the founder of The Story Project. She is also a mum and a teacher. She loves beach days and muddy walks. Farah lives in Bath with her family and her mission is to help develop children’s creative learning experiences in a fresh and meaningful way. The story project gives young people the opportunity to work collaboratively with Farah to write and illustrate a children’s story. Students take part in a series of creative workshops to reach a common goal; to publish a story that celebrates their local area and embraces the folklore and tales associated with that area. The first Story Project saw Farah working with over 100 Y5 children from Cornish schools to produce & publish Tyrannosaurus Tate, a picture book about the famous gallery.
