Author Information

Dr. Joyce McPeake Robinson currently serves as an independent educational consultant in literacy. She brings to her role a wealth of experience gained over the course of her career, as both teacher and administrator. A graduate of Tufts University, she holds her master's and doctoral degrees from Boston University. Robinson's research interests have focused on English language skills acquisition, literature analysis and curriculum development. Past president and board member of the Association for the Advancement of Educational Research, she is also an active member of other professional organizations. She has contributed articles to newspapers and periodicals, authored academic publications and presented papers at national and international conferences. In light of her achievements, Robinson has received a number of formal honors over the years. She is a member of the following honor societies: Cum Laude Society, Pi Lambda Theta and Phi Delta Kappan. Among her awards are the International Peace Prize from the United Cultural Convention and the Woman of the Year from the National Council of Teachers of English, in addition to numerous other commendations.
