He began his intelligence career as a Royal Marines Combat Intelligence specialist and deployed as part of a NATO task force on Op SHADER, where he worked as part of an OSINT cell tracking terror groups in the Middle East. He was awarded the US Army Commendation Medal for his performance on this tour.
