Overview

"I would like to introduce you to a novel about one man's journey to seek the truth about salvation. The reader will be exposed to an aging Jewish man, raised in New York who now finds himself living in Russellville, Arkansas and coping with gut wrenching decisions he feels compeled to make concerning his faith. He is not alone in this spiritual quest as he is now in the company of a Christian Arkansas coalminer's daughter, who feels right at home in the ""Bible Belt"" and who is also open- minded to learn about Messianic Judaism and Jeshua (Jesus); the Messiah. Our ""hero"" has been accustomed to taking risks all his life and when he lost, money was involved. But, this is different. This would be his greatest risk of all....for if he is wrong he could lose his soul."

These are just a few of the questions that have plagued us all at one time or another. And they are questions Stanley Cohen addresses in, The Greatest Risk Of All. The titles refers to the fact that Stanley who has been a serious gambler for most of his 73 years is now facing the biggest risk of all, the possible loss of his soul if he makes the wrong choice. This easy-to-read true story makes it fascinating to follow along step by step on Stanley's spirittual journey. Thoroughly enjoyable. Miles November 5,2012 Format; Paperback I found this book to be inspiring and a wonderful read. Stanley Cohen has written three books and I have read all three. He is a wonderful writer, and his books draw you in as though you are the character. In this book, the plot is around Stanley and his family which makes it even more interesting. I have a great love for the nation of Israel and for the Jewish people and I understand the decisions Stanley had to make in his spirtual quest. To a person who is not a Jew, the decisions might seem easy. But, to a Jew the decisions he had to make involve thousands of years of religious tradition.
