You have just discovered a buried treasure: gems of literature excavated and placed into your hands. Listen, and marvel at what you have found! -Dara Horn, author of Eternal Life The Golden Peacock is a unique compilation of the striking voices of twentieth-century Yiddish poets and prose writers. It treats us to hours of engaging listening. The accompanying texts of the works, in Yiddish and in English translation, along with Zucker's illuminating notes, provide additional richness. -Marcia Falk, poet, translator This collection is truly a treasury of audio history. It's wonderful to hear the voices of these Yiddish writers so present and intimate. This new release makes the works accessible to non-Yiddish speakers in an audible form, in very good translations and movingly read. -Daniel Kahn, singer, songwriter, translator
