The Formula: Make the Shot

Overview

Trauma is more prevalent than ever. It is painful to experience and even more painful to talk about. Little do we know; we have the power to help each other find the answers to a healthier life. We must help each other eliminate the continuous cycle and guide our youth. The process to make a shot in basketball requires discipline and focus, just like life. The cool thing is anyone can make a shot with proper guidance. Learn it, pass it on, and change a life. Trauma is something we all experience but how do we heal? For me, it was basketball. My father wasn't in my life growing up, so I had to learn a lot on my own. We should strive to reach those who are headed down the same path and show them the formula to prevent pain that comes from lack of guidance. I wouldn't be where I am today if I weren't shown the way.
