"""For years I have longed to see this biography written. And it lives up to my every hope...This is a story of breathtaking global impact. Indeed, it may yet save us all!"" -- ""Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision Australia, 2004-2016"" ""No research program--no matter how well funded--would have come up with this idea, because it expertly combines the subtleties of location-specific tree selection with farmer-specific opportunities and constraints."" -- ""Richard Stirzaker, Principal Research Scientist, CSIRO"" ""Tony Rinaudo is a shining example of what perseverance and courage can achieve...As we face an aggravating climate crisis, Tony's example gives hope. I am certain that his visionary work has the potential to change the world."" -- ""Ole von Uexkull, Executive Director of Right Livelihood"""

Author Information

In his seventeen years in Niger, missionary agronomist Tony Rinaudo discovered a simple method of regreening land without planting a single tree. The technique he pioneered--together with local farmers--came to be known as Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, or FMNR. It has since reduced our carbon footprint, and transformed millions of lives and livelihoods. For his influential contributions, Tony has received the Right Livelihood Award and was appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia. He is now the Principal Climate Action Advisor with World Vision. Tim Dehn is an English voice actor in Melbourne who has worked with local and international television and radio broadcasters. He has recorded for a wide variety of media, including corporate, training, and documentary voiceovers, radio programs such as ABC Classic and 3MBS, commercials, and audiobooks for the Christian Blind Mission for vision-impaired listeners.
