Overview

A collection of twenty-one poems all written within the first twenty-one years of Tahia's life. Some written from when she was a teenager, the collection exhibits times when Tahia has stuggled the most and turned to poetry to make sense of the world. Dipping into themes like being Brown and British as well as the mental health struggles she faces, Tahia also explores being young and in love as well as the pain of heartbreak. A compilation which is deeply personal and emotional and is her first collection to be exposed to the world.

Author Information

Tahia Towhidul is a medical student from East London, who is also a first-born daughter to Bangladeshi immigrant parents. She is passionate about medicine and it is her dream to become a doctor but admist the studying she has used poetry as an outlet growing up. It has been helpful when dealing with being Brown in Britain, figuring out mental health and intergenerational trauma, and also her love life. Safe to say, she's still navigating it all now.
