Author Information

Hichem Karoui is a renowned expert in the Middle East and the Gulf, a region where he has lived and worked regularly since 2011. First, he was the Head of the Political Unit-head of Online Academic Publishing-at the Doha-based Arab Center For Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS), and later, he was a senior Consultant for the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar.Since 2020, he served as Executive Director of the London-based Gulf Futures Center (which became Gulf Futures For Studies and Consulting) and as Senior Researcher and Editor at the GEW Reports & Analyses.He has published over fifty books in three languages (English, Arabic, and French), not considering the edited books, reports, and several important articles and academic papers.He holds a PhD in sociology from Paris III Sorbonne University.A Masters in Middle-East-Mediterranean Studies, 2 Maitrises (Masters One), one in Arabic and the other in English, all from the same University.
