J.R. McRae is Australia's Scheherazade. She has a thousand and one tales yet to tell in fiction and verse, for on her magic carpet she traverses global time and space. As a creator, she is endlessly inventive and daring. I admire her haiku, too! - Dr. Florence Lewis, PhD, English Professor in University Of California, Berkeley, CA, co-author with New Zealand's most beloved poet & storyteller, Bernie Gadd, Who Wants to Be Lillian Plotnik's Mother. Taught Daniel Hand, among many others. J.R. McRae is a master of short stories. The Doll's House in the Forest is sure to capture the imagination of its readers and take them on a magical, mysterious and truly mezmerising journey. - Adrienne O'Connell, teacher, B.A., Grad. Dip. Ed., has taught children from indigenous classrooms in the wilds of the outback to multicultural suburban classrooms in a big city.

They've influenced her storytelling so that text and image have to always work as a unit. Graduating from Comics and Sequential art in Gavle, Sweden 2006, she has made comics for comic magazines, released a small press book for both print and digital and published comic book novels on iBooks. The Doll's House In the Forest is her first children's book collaboration with a writer. http://www.uvett.se
