Paul left school at 15 to take up a catering apprenticeship, staying in the catering business for nine years, and then left and travelled across the USA for several months, eventually returning to change his profession and accept a position in area sales. Paul later married and now has two grownup children, a son in the film industry and a daughter who is a teacher. He has two granddaughters. Paul has always enjoyed writing short stories and poems and has now retired to Gloucestershire.
