Author Information

Beixiang Shi is an associate researcher at the School of Architecture of Southeast University and a registered urban planner in China. He is mainly engaged in the research of urban central areas and urban spatial morphology. He has tracked and studied the spatial development and succession of Nanjing in China for more than 10 years, and he has participated in the research of major urban central areas in Asia. The research work has been funded by 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China and 5 other funding. Junyan Yang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Southeast University, and the deputy dean of the Smart City Research Institute of Southeast University. He serves as a member of the ISOCARP Scientific Committee and an ISBE director. He is also a member of the Academic Committee of Urban Planning Society of China. He has been mainly engaged in the research of smart cities and urban spatial morphology for a long time. He has organized research on the central areas of major Asian cities and has completed the construction of vector databases for more than 150 urban central areas in more than 50 cities.
