OverviewThe Scriptures speak of those who, once coming to believe in the Bible as true and putting their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then make the decision to... ... not live the rest of [their earthly lives] for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 1 Peter 4:2 NIV But what is God's will? This book follows the life of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus. He found himself captive to two kings: one by choice, the other against his will. King Herod arrested Peter and threw him in jail. Herod's will was that Peter be beheaded. But Peter, by choice, found himself captivated by another King, who speaking in spiritual terms said: This is the will of God, your sanctification. 1 Thessalonians 4:3 ESV But what is that? What is sanctification? This book builds on previous books* written by John R. Cross. It is truly a sequel -- the next step -- in learning about God and the Bible. The focus of this book is the identity of the Holy Spirit and his work in the life of a Bible believer. *Any one of these three books: - The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus - All that the Prophets have Spoken - By This Name Full Product DetailsAuthor: John R CrossPublisher: Goodseed International Imprint: Goodseed International Dimensions: Width: 15.20cm , Height: 1.50cm , Length: 22.90cm Weight: 0.390kg ISBN: 9781773040844ISBN 10: 1773040847 Pages: 290 Publication Date: 05 December 2018 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: In stock We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier. It is the natural progression. SH I'm confident this book will be a resource that new believers and older believers ... will not only read once, but return to again and again. CP I have been reading GoodSeed's latest book, The Captive and the King's Will. I am so enjoying it and learning so much from it, especially by way of clarity of the Word of God, fitting it all together so well and clearly. It is also increasing my value of the Word more and more as I read and realize in a fresh way just all God has given us by way of a Map to follow as we seek to live our lives for Him. Also, I appreciate the advice to read it slowly (and actually, I can't imagine doing it any other way, as there is too much there to just breeze through). I have only been reading a section each day within a chapter and find myself looking forward to the next section every morning.
