Author Information

Barbara Toboni is a writer, blogger, and poet. She has published a variety of short stories and articles in anthologies, journals, and online. Barbara is also the author of two collections of poetry, Undertow and Water Over Time. On her blog she writes about subjects that matter to her most, notably her family. She is the mother of two adult sons. When they were growing up she had the opportunity to work as a teacher's aide in a kindergarten classroom. She especially loved hearing the teacher read picture books. Barbara lives in the Napa Valley with her husband. Sandy began her children's book career over 45 years ago as a student of Maurice Sendak at Yale. Once introduced, the picture book genre captivated her imagination with its unique blend of story and illustration. Although she is an international literary agent, editorial consultant, and bookseller, her passion for creating her own books remains. She loved returning to her drawing table to bring Percy and Bonny to life!
