Overview

When the winner of a million dollars as the 10th million customer of Barnes and Noble turns out to be an insider also looking for business as a designer. When he is accused of stalking by a successful female realtor, Zuma negotiates an arrangement satisfying to the bookman and realtor. The realtor, who is also an art collector, is shot in front of her home with falling upon her live-in boyfriend and bookman. When the live-in is shot the bookman is left as the most likely shooter. With the help of Zuma's wife, a scheme for selling authentic paintings to wealthy clients of the realtor is uncovered. This plan leads Zuma to discover how the scheme operates, but also to the murder of the realtor.

"JEROME RABOW has been a professor of social psychology at UCLA for thirty years and lectures at California State University Northridge. He has written nine books and over one hundred articles on sociology, social psychology, education, and racism. He is cofounder and president of the Center for the Celebration of Diversity through Education. He and his wife, Roslyn, have five children and four grandchildren and live in Los Angeles. He is the author of ""Oceans Apart"", the first in the series of murder mysteries following Detective Joe Zuma and his sidekick Detective Pat Vasquez."
