OverviewScotsman Andrew Lang, who lived from 1844 to 1912, was a poet, novelist, literary critic, and anthropologist. He is primarily known for being a folklore and fairy story collector. At the University of St. Andrews, he is honoured through the Andrew Lang lectures. Nowadays, Lang is primarily recognised for his writings on religion, mythology, and folklore.
