Reviews

I love grammar and I'm always learning from Arlene! Marcy Carriker Smothers, author of Eat Like Walt: The Wonderful World of Disney Food and Snacks: Adventures in Food, Aisle by Aisle Anyone who loves the English language will benefit from Arlene Miller's excellent books on grammar. She is precise, concise, and orderly in her presentation of the practical word and grammar usage issues that we face in everyday life. She offers clarity to replace confusion. -Lee Foster, author of 18 books at Fostertravel.com, Foster Travel Publishing Even those of us who pride ourselves on our knowledge of the English language sometimes need to consult the experts. Arlene Miller, known as The Grammar Diva, is the best kind of expert: authoritative but also approachable and conversational. Her new collection puts together three essential titles that will help you avoid grammar gaffes that could sink your proposal or cost you a job or a reader. If you're a grammar nerd, you could read them just for fun, especially Does Your Flamingo Flamenco? The Best Little Dictionary of Confusing Words and Malapropisms, where you will learn that you should never add an s on the end of toward or anyway and that one little letter can make a big difference in meaning (as in vicious and viscous ). If you just want to jump in and get a question answered, these serve as excellent references. Either way, you won't find a more friendly, concise, and truly helpful little collection for all your grammar needs. --Audrey Kalman, Editor, novelist, and author of What Remains Unsaid
