Overview

"On July 28, 1841, the body of Mary Rogers, a twenty-year-old cigar girl, was found floating in the Hudson--and New York's unregulated police force proved incapable of solving the crime. Auguste Dupin, to solve the baffling murder of Mary Rogers in ""The Mystery of Marie Rogt."""

Author Information

Daniel Stashower is an acclaimed biographer and narrative historian and winner of the Edgar, Agatha, and Anthony awards, as well as the Raymond Chandler Fulbright Fellowship in Detective Fiction. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Smithsonian Magazine, AARP: The Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, and American History as well as other publications. His books include The Hour of Peril, Teller of Tales, and The Beautiful Cigar Girl. From a young age, Matt Weisgerber had a passion for using his voice to create characters and entertain those around him. He built on these skills, obtaining his bachelor's degree with a double major in psychology and music from the University of Lethbridge. Now, he has transformed his passion for performance into a career in audiobook narration. Matt has narrated audiobooks in various genres. His vocal style is bright, warm, and conversational, and falls naturally within the YA and children's genres. When he's not narrating, Matt can be found volunteering on a crisis line, and spending way too much on retro video game collectibles.
