Michael Fitz, a Fellow with explore.org and a former National Park Service ranger, has distinguished himself as an expert in the natural history and ecology of Brooks River, particularly the river's brown bears. He has been quoted in articles on outside.com, mashable.com, and the New Yorker. His work has been featured in Legacy and Cause. He blogs on fitznaturalist.com, and writes about bears on explore.org. He lives in western Washington. John Pruden is an Earphones Award-winning audiobook narrator. His exposure to many people, places, and experiences throughout his life provides a deep creative well from which he draws his narrative and vocal characterizations.
