As someone who has suffered with anxiety over the years, I am always interested in reading books that can help me learn coping with it on a daily basis. I have to say after reading the Anxiety Tool Kit, I feel a lot more confident in going about my anxiety. I found more about CBT and the ways it can help you. It's given me more knowledge on how to approach my family with bettering themselves as well. The part about rewiring the brain was also so interesting to me and further I would like to research on how to do that myself. Learning about the causes of anxiety was no surprise to me as someone who grew up in an anxious household and our anxiety seemed genetic. I learned about emotional numbness and it was helpful to put a name on something I was suffering with but did not know what to call it. My favorite part was on how to befriend your anxiety- that was super helpful! It comes to show all experiences in our lives are helpful for our self growth even if they create a ton of anxiety. There's always a reason. The ending of mindfulness couldn't have been more appropriate. It is something that has helped me a lot and I realized how I already have the tools in place to manage my anxiety. This is a great book and I will be recommending it to everyone I know suffering from anxiety. -J. Perez I haven't gotten around to finishing the book itself from cover to cover (yet), but from what I have read this is a book that is much needed for improving and maintaining your own mental health. Linda Hill expresses her own battles with anxiety alongside how she came to managing. This book introduced terms to myself that I didn't know I needed to know, but once learned help to changing my path of thinking. These terms are CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical-Behavior Therapy). As I read on I will update on my journey. TRY IT OUT......WHY NOT -D. Saunders
