Papa Rick Harris has lived an adventure-filled life travelling to many parts of the world. However, his favourite place is in his backyard: the Canadian Rocky Mountains. In 2003, something extraordinary changed his life forever: the birth of the first of five grandchildren, Kyra.Rick, the author of several non-fiction books, now writes with his grandchildren, bringing their adventures to life through The Adventures of Kaboose, the Rocky Mountain Bear. Kyra is the inspiration behind the book series The Adventures of Kaboose the Rocky Mountain Bear. Even before Kyra was born, we spent time in her mommy's tummy along the banks of the Bow River in the Rocky Mountains.During her first eighteen years, she had many adventures with her grandpa, Papa Rick, in the great outdoors.Luckily, she and Papa Rick captured many of their adventures together in words and pictures. They brought their adventures to life through The Adventures of Kaboose the Rocky Mountain Bear. Kyra is a kind soul who generously shares her adventures with her sister, Kaitlyn, her cousins, Leland, Bailey and Cooper, her family and friends, and most importantly, you and your family.
