Author Information

Carine Roch is the author of the countdown book series Ten Days Till... She was a creative writing literature teacher in Switzerland and has led numerous writing courses and workshops over the years. She has always tried to develop and encourage good writing and reading habits by playing and having fun with words, with their sound, shape or meaning. She now lives in San Francisco where she is on staff as a storyteller in French and English in the most inspiring children's bookstore. Above all, as a mother of three, she has fun anticipating big and small moments in life. Sukhada Rahalkar is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who uses her training in Animation and Film Making to bring her illustrations to life. She loves writing and illustrating books for young children and her picture book, 'Lost and Found', published by Pratham Books, has been translated into twenty five languages and is available in e-versions as well. She has also designed and illustrated various child development aids including cards, puzzles and vocabulary games. Her heart's desire is to create images that will capture every child's imagination. She currently lives in foggy and windy San Francisco, taking every opportunity to toast in the sun, just like her spirit animal, the cat. When she is not working you'll find her taking long walks, sipping coffee and watching people. She is also an aspiring potter and an amateur clay modeler. You must be warned though that she is a ........chocolate monster with a voracious sweet tooth! Go near her with even the slightest hint of chocolate or sugar crumbs and you will be doing so at great peril!!! Sukhada is the illustrator of the book Ten Days Till Baby!
