With the demand for technology increasing and budgets squeezed, ""Technology In Education"" provides a blueprint for success! A successful educational environment in the 21st Century includes the use of various forms of technology, from laptops and tablets to the content delivered to these devices. ""Technology in Education"" discusses how that content is delivered and the challenges today's educational environments are experiencing. Whether a district is supplying laptops/tablets or is a BYOD environment there is expensive equipment that is required in all situations that is required. John provides a clear understanding of the requirements as well as processes for making budgets stretch to meet goals. John successfully received a $1.8 million dollar erate priority two commitment in 2012 which funded a much needed infrastructure upgrade for the school district in which he oversaw the technology initiatives as well as spearheaded substantial efficiencies in other areas of the department. His full career history can be found at https: //www.linkedin.com/in/johncavallone. ""I was saddened to have learned the majority of the contents while on the job and not in a preservice course. Technology is now both a tool and vessel of our profession but very few administrators are given the proper training and honest-to-goodness-talk about the state of their schools/district and what can be done. Your book should be used in administration preparation programs for at least one session on facilities and instruction."" - Jeremy Burnham, Ed. D."
