Tang Soo Do The Complete Story describes the creation, history and evolution of the 20th century Korean style of martial arts. It includes who the individuals that opened the first Kwans teaching Tang Soo Do and Kong Soo Do and where each had earned their Black Belt while attending college in Japan that returned home to open the Kwans that taught Tang Soo Do as World War II was ending and the colonial occupational forces were being removed by the U.S. military. Hundreds of miles away, the U.S. military was planning to invade Japan and the Japanese military was forcing all its manpower to come to Japan to repel the U.S. military. It also includes the creation and history of other Kwans that taught their version of Tang Soo Do mixing Chuan Fa/Kwon Bup (Shaolin Fighting Art) and Tai Chi Chuan (Tae Kuek Kwan; a.k.a. Grand Ultimate Fist) such as the Moo Duk Kwan, Kang Duk Kwan, Kuk Moo Kwan, Jung Do Kwan, Yun Moo Kwan, O Do Kwan, Sang Moo Kwan, Chang Moo Kwan, Chung Do Kwan, Moo Duk Kwan. Author Information

The author began his trainin in Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do and others after graduating college for 30 years. He has earned 5th Dan Black Belts in both Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan and Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan and a 3rd Dan in Soo Bahk. The author began writing and publishing martial arts articles and editorials for martial arts magazines due to to the lack of credible information about the author's styles after receiving different answers from different experts in Tang Soo Do. Dr. Losik authored many articles that were published in many martial arts magazines. The author's martial arts articles have also been published in other countries around the world and on national and international web sites due to the excellent content and accuracy of the author's articles, today almost all information about the Korean martial arts that is easily available is from the magazine articles published by the author and so today, the American Korean martial arts community speaks more coherently, uniformly and precisely than they did 25 years ago. The author began writing books on martial arts as early as 1985. The author's first book published was in 1993 called the Tang Soo Do Question and Answer Book. The author has published over 30 other books on Korean martial arts, meditation and Eastern thought. The author has published many books about Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do and Soo Bahk and their many Hyungs, creation, history and evolution. Dr. Losik has been an international resource on Korean martial arts for over 25 years and his many magazine articles and books have been translated in many languages in many countries around the world. Academically, the author has earned three A.A. degrees, two B.S. degrees in Physics and mathematics, an MS and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Education. Professionally, the author has worked as a Teacher, Physicist, Astro[hysicist, Nuclear Physicist, Aerospace engineering designing spacecraft and rockets for NASA and the U.S. military. He was responsible for winning funding by the Pentagon for the U.S. Air Force's Global Positioning System (GPS), he also did the design of NASA's International Space station, NASA's Space Shuttles for launching GPS satellites 4 at a time, NASA's GOES-Next weather and space science satellites and managed NASA's Extreme Ultra-Violet Explorer space science satellite. He also designed many national and international commercial, civil and military geostationary communications satellites.
