The author lives and trains in California. Len has earned 5th Dan Black Belts in Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do and 3rd Dan Black Belt in Soo Bahk. Len is married and is a father of three children and five grandchildren. Len has been training in martial arts he joined his first Tae Kwon Do class after graduating college. Len began teaching martial arts in after earning a Cho Dan (1st degree) Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do styles almost simultaneously. Len has been using aspects of martial arts in his own life for more than 20 years to bring order, patience, wisdom, understanding and self-awareness. Len augments his martial arts with meditation, strength-based weight training, boxing training using hand speed bag, heavy bag and long distance running. Meditation keeps his body-mind-spirit in-tack, allowing him to train at higher levels of performance while minimizing injuries. Len has written and published both magazine articles and books more than 20 articles and editorials related to martial arts for several martial arts magazines including the prestigious Mudo Dojang, Tae Kwon Do Times and Black Belt Magazines. Many of Len's articles illustrate the forgotten history and evolution of Korean martial arts. For this reason, Len's articles are often republished in other countries because of their excellent historical content, unavailable otherwise. Len's articles also appear on many martial arts web sites around the world. Len has also published 20 books on Korean martial arts. These books include information on the traditional styles of Tang Soo Do, Soo Bahk Do and Tae Kwon Do Korean martial arts. Len's books and articles have been translated into many languages and one for children earned the Good House Keeping magazine Seal of Approval. Len has more than 25 years of martial arts experience. Academically, Len has earned degrees in Physics, Mathematics, Education and Electrical Engineering. Len works professionally as a Physicist, an Astrophysicists, a Nuclear Physicist, a Mechanical Engineer and an Electrical Engineer in several different industries. Len is responsible for the design of NASA and U.S. Air Force satellites and spacecraft and rockets and was responsible for the design of the Boeing GPS satellites and winning Pentagon funding for the Air Force's Global Positioning System constellation and its size and shape. He also developed the prognostics and health management technology that allows predicting events with 100% certainty.
