Taekwondo and Chang Moo Kwan Creation, History and Evolution describes the founding of the Chang Moo Kwan Tang Soo Do and its many changes as it evolved from teaching Karate, Kwon Bup, Tang Soo Do and Chuan Fa styles to just Taekwondo and why it was one of the driving Kwans in the creation and government support of Taekwondo and Taekwondo's journey to the 1988 Olympics. The author describes the life of the founder of the Chang Moo Kwan in Korea as a young boy and his family's decision to send him to Japan to college at the Nihon University and his exploits as a Korean student in an all Japanese college and Japanese Karate club his takeover of the college Karate club and ends up teaching the clubs Instructor Chuan Fa, becoming captain of the Nihon College Karate Team as the only Korean student to do so. The author includes the description of the founder of the Chang Moo Kwan's return home to Korea and reconnecting with school mates after World War II and his leaving his home and his Kwan in South Korea in 1950 when the Korean War began to be with his family and his tragic life and death while living in North Korea
