He has spent the past 10 years teaching and consulting in environmental management and community development. Christine Ruth Saru Kilalo is an independent consultant working in Kenya. A nurse by profession, she holds a Master's degree in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex University, UK. She has spent most of her professional life in community development, working with poor and marginalized people across East Africa, and particularly in Kenya.
