Overview

"We all have a God story; He pursues us all. This is ours. It is a story of how God can transform the plans of a life when we begin to listen to His voice and apply it. We have been asked to write this book many times, as we have shared with others the countless ways in which we have witnessed the Lord Jesus Christ guide, direct, speak and yes, miraculously move on our behalf. He has led us through a great adventure of listening to His voice and trusting Him completely. These stories have served as ""stones of remembrance"" for us of God's provision, guidance, and direction in times when we have started to lose focus and to doubt God's plan for our lives. They have been a source of encouragement and reassurance that the God who moved in the past is the same God directing the present and giving vision for the future. May you be encouraged to trust, to dream and to look back and see the hand of God in your own life as well."

Reviews

Stones of Remembrance by Jose and Ampy Suarez is a wonderfully encouraging book that captures the hand of God upon and throughout their lives as they surrendered themselves to God and to hear and obey the word He spoke to them, sometimes by God-inspired dreams. Their shared experiences and examples of obedience vivified within me the Scripture 'man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds [continues to come forth] from the mouth of God' (Matthew 4:4). Jose and Ampy's examples of hearing, obeying, then waiting for the next (proceeding) word of God show their journey by faith, trust, and dependency, even when the word heard and obeyed didn't make sense. Readers will be encouraged as they read of the loving and merciful heart of God our Father in the lives of Jose and Ampy as they sought after and followed the leading and guidance of His Holy Spirit. -Johnnie O. Prophet Ministry is so much more than programs, initiatives or counting the numbers of how many people received Christ. Ministry is about the Glory of God and making disciples. In Stones of Remembrance, Jose and Ampy share their discipleship walk with the Lord and how He has through them impacted lives and made disciples. Sharing their experiences they give us an opportunity to look back over how God has led them as they encourage us to 'remember the stones, ' He's always at work around us, in us, and through us as we serve Him. -Pastor Freddie Hinson Jr., D.Min, New Hope Baptist Church To 'cross over' translates from the semetic word 'eber' from which we get the word 'Hebrew/s'-the people who were always 'crossing over.' The Suarez journey, like the Israelites, has been about so many 'crossovers, ' but also a love story as well. A deep love for each other and the kids of all ages with all kinds of challenges. From their first 'destiny' marker to the last reminder with residential kids that naysayers will always try to pop your dream bubble, Ampy and Jose have fought the good fight of faith. Their dream continues. I am glad in Jesus to have travelled a few of those crossings along side of them in the last nearly nineteen years. Through laughter, late nights and long days living the life of sold out ministers-as it should be. They continue to pile up remembrance stones along their way as thousands are inspired to see how God will place 'stones' along their journey paths as well. -Ken Boaz DMin, Pastor, Board Member HYR Never surrender to fear, remember the presence of God in your journey, and laugh and weep with Jose and Ampy as they open their hearts and lives as examples of what God can do when we trust Him in small things and believe Him for great things! -Pastor Arley W. Higginbotham, President, Bluffton Bible College; Vice President, Nations Network of Ministers; Director, The Garage Youth ministries
