Overview

After Sylvio Dominique's sudden retirement from middleweight boxing following a close brush with death, the former champion hangs up his gloves to continue running the Shaw-Dominique Community Center in Queens, New York. When Sylvio's hometown rival and current middleweight champion Barry Taylor; asks him to help train for his title defense against new contender and former MMA fighter Jun Zhang, Sylvio agrees to the proposition. But Taylor is defeated handily, and when Sylvio suffers a tragic death in the family and the center struggles financially, he makes the decision to return to the ring. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Valentina Cruz finds success as an actress and her relationship with Sylvio begins coming apart at the seams. Sylvio's trainer, Jim Shaw is reluctant to help Sylvio, as he finds himself struggling with his own personal demons. Jun Zhang then challenges Sylvio to fight him for the crown. As he prepares for his toughest ring battle yet, can Sylvio and Jim find the fortitude to emerge victorious while putting all their struggles behind them?

With such an abundance of rich characters, Split Decision 2 has so much depth that it leaves you hungry for more and more. You, too, will be left wondering not only what's going to happen next but also which character's story will be told next. Author Information

Marc A. Beausejour was born July 28, 1987 in Queens, New York. Writing since the age of twelve, he first found his niche in poetry. Performing in school talent shows and poetry reading events, Beausejour moved to Kennesaw, Georgia in 2001; attending North Cobb High School and Kennesaw State University. Over the years he continued to write poems for weddings, funerals and church events. In 2011, Beausejour wrote and self-published his first book Words On High, a compilation of spiritual poems written throughout his early years. He would go on to write and publish a second poetry book Rising Higher Than Ever in 2015. In that same year, Beausejour also wrote and published his first urban novel The Preacher's Web, a hard, gritty morality tale that stood in contrast to his poetry books. In 2016, Beausejour wrote the coming-of-age novel Adia's Ballad. Not too long afterwards, Beausejour wrote Fires of Justice, which was published in 2018. D.A. Goodwin is a mother of two from South Carolina. She earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in English Language and Writing from Francis Marion University. She went on to earn a master's degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and she is currently seeking her PhD in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Evaluation from Walden University. She is the author of the drama suspense novels, The Offender I Once Defended and Chants In The Darkness.
