Author Information

Rabbi Cantor Eva Robbins has served N'vay Shalom for over 25 years with co-founder and husband Rabbi Stephen Robbins. Together, they have led workshops expanding spiritual awareness, meditation and healing. She facilitates women's spiritual growth with individuals and groups, officiates at life cycle moments, is a teacher of Torah, meditation and Judaism to prospective converts, as well as Bar/Bat Mitzvah training in the Los Angeles community. She has taught at the AJU and presently on the faculty of AJRCA. She is also a Reiki master and Jewish textile artist with works in museums and private collections. Spiritual Surgery is her first publication, with her spiritual memoir, Alchemy of Darkness, Transformation of Spirit following some time this year. She has now found a new voice, the writer, to help open a pathway for others to creative, openhearted and spiritual expression as a way of healing sounds, loss and suffering. As a daughter of Holocaust survivors, pain and suffering have been an integral part of her DNA, yet she continues to grow and thrive, expanding and opening new doorways for self-expression, We need to find opportunity and possibility in challenge and difficulty; Judaism, Torah and spiritual practice can connect us to our inner core, the potential for undiscovered talents and the Divine presence. She can be reached at nvayshlm@hotmail.com
