Overview

Analysing the aural background of everyday spaces, this book explores the role and processes of sound in daily life in a range of contexts. Sounding Places questions how sound comes to be a meaningful ingredient in the microgeographies of place-making, how it contributes to shaping a variety of embodied and spatially situated experiences, and how such aspects can be harnessed methodologically.
