In it, you will fifind poems and prose pieces, describing the overcoming journeys of both authors. Tom and Marcia each reveal their own odyssey of trauma to triumph and include the stories of other heroes who are determined to live as simply themselves making a triumphant stand. Sophie is Tom's mother, who, as a teenager in Berlin, Germany in the late 1930s, escaped the Holocaust along with her parents. Her story, along with the stories of other heroes of faith and peace, is the inspiration behind this work. The authors' collaborative wish is that victims of trauma and abuse will be inspired, motivated, and helped by their testimonies to seek healing, comfort, and peace. Marcia Goranson is originally from Iowa. She and her husband, Roger, have been married for thirty-four years. They have two adult children. Tom Josephson is the son and grandson of Holocaust survivors. His mother's story is the impetus of this book. Tom was born and raised in New York City and now resides in Georgia. His testimony of coming to Christ is a powerfully engaging element in his journey.
