Table of ContentsReviews'My postman delivered the book on a sunny afternoon, I made a cuppa, sat outside and got drawn into times past. The tales are so compelling and although I had things to do I told myself I'd read just one more, and then just another one, and on! Took the book to bed to finish off! I enjoyed it all, although I have a particular fascination with Shepton Mallet prison - I lived in the shadows of its walls for some years and have visited both when it was a working jail and more recently as a tourist - so was thrilled to learn more. It's also interesting to see how murders, in particular, have changed - methods and weapons. Definitely recommend to anyone with an interest in history and capital punishment, you don't need to be a Somerset lover as several of the perpetrators originated outside of the county and were only detained and executed here' Cider Girl - Amazon review 1st May 2020 'Fantastic read, couldn't put it down!'
