OverviewThis publication is for skill level (SL) 3/4/5 soldiers holding Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 79R to include US Army Reserve (USAR) 79R personnel performing duties within the US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), their trainers and first-line supervisors. It contains standardized training objectives in the form of task summaries. Leaders will use these objectives to train and evaluate soldiers on critical tasks which support their unit mission. Soldiers holding MOS 79R SL 3/4/5 must have access to this publication. It should be made available in the soldier's work area, in the unit's learning center and libraries. Commanders will ensure that an adequate supply of this manual has been ordered from US Army Publications Distribution Center (USAPDC) under pinpoint distribution procedures. The quantity ordered should be based on the authorized MOS strength of the units TDA, TOE, or MTOE. This manual applies to both Active and Reserve component soldiers.
