Overview

Black holes, stars, planets, meteor showers, comets and galaxies are just part of what the night skies have to offer. Stan Shadick explains all things celestial in this award-winning calendar that features star maps for orienting stargazers to the heavens; inset maps illustrating planetary conjunctions and other events; and commentaries that describe cosmic events and celestial discoveries. Find out what to watch for in the skies throughout the year. On a dark night, most of the stars described in this calendar can be viewed with the unaided eye or with binoculars. This is the perfect way to explore the mysteries of the heavens. The star maps in this calendar apply throughout southern Canada, the northern United Sates, Great Britain and central Europe from 37 to 60 north latitude.
