Overview

How do you break through the noise? Why do some messages work when others don't? Why do some ideas break through, why do some slogans stick in your brain, and why do some leaders inspire change--when others don't? The answer is simple. Literally. The most effective communicators in the world all structure their messages the same way, by designing for simplicity. But the problem is, simple is hard work. Our brains are programmed to complicate. Our world incentivizes more, more, more. It takes deliberate, intentional effort to communicate in a way that seems effortless. In Simply Put, award-winning marketing entrepreneur Ben Guttmann unveils a five-part framework that allows anybody to communicate with clarity. With this book, you'll be able to design messages that are beneficial, focused, salient, empathetic, and minimal--and that work.

Author Information

Brian Wiggins is a Voice Arts and One Voice Award-nominated voice actor, and has lent his talents to clients such as Southern Comfort, Netflix, Champion, Tyson Foods, and Santa Helena Winery, as well as nearly 100 audiobook and narration projects, including the award-winning Frith Chronicles series. In 2022 he published his first book, The Narrator's Guide to the Universe of Audiobooks. While born in the sleepy South Jersey town of Medford (where fun goes to die), he's been living in Philadelphia for the last twenty years and proudly calls it home with his wife, and their two rescue dogs Dakota and Hurley. When not fighting evil, ne'er-do-wells, and dastards via narrating a great audiobook, he can be found putting his character voice skills to the test while running Dungeons & Dragons games for his friends, or teaching Brazilian jiu jitsu.
