Table of ContentsReviewsThe essays included in this wide-ranging volume dedicated to the remarkable work of Peter Ochs are both engaging and provocative. Christian and Jewish readers will find the volume especially rewarding but the many excellent essays included in the volume are relevant to anyone interested in the intricate connections between philosophy, theology, logic, and the current state of the world today. --Leora Batnitzky, Princeton University More than any other recent thinker, Peter Ochs answers the basic problematic raised in Anscombe's great 'Modern Moral Philosophy' challenge. Not only does Ochs answer the dilemma of moral education, but in significant measure resolves it. That is what I came to believe while reading the wise and warm essays in this book. Those who know Anscombe's essay will know what I mean about Ochs. Those who know Ochs will know what Anscombe meant about modern philosophy. This book helps us realize both. --Jonathan Tran, Baylor University The essays included in this wide-ranging volume dedicated to the remarkable work of Peter Ochs are both engaging and provocative.
