As an AASECT-certified sexuality educator, she has been widely acknowledged for her expertise and exceptional teaching and contributions to the field of human sexuality. Planned Parenthood has honored her as a Sexuality Educator of the Year, highlighting the impact she has made in the field. In addition, the University of Hartford has acknowledged her outstanding commitment to teaching by honoring her with the Sustained Excellence in Teaching and the Gordon Clark Ramsey Award for Creative Excellence, both reserved for professors who consistently exhibit excellence and innovation in their classrooms.
