Author Information

"Marion W. McKenney is a published author and has written a total of twelve books -- both fiction and nonfiction. She was born in Dyersburg, TN and grew up in Ottawa and Peoria, IL. She moved to North Carolina in 2003. Marion graduated from Illinois Central College with an Associate in Liberal Arts and from Bradley University with a BS in Elementary Education; while attending these schools, she took several reading and writing classes. She became an Elementary School Teacher and taught 5th grade. Marion has been featured in The Peoria Journal star, the Peoria Traveler, The Times Newspaper-Ottawa, IL, and spotlighted on Bradley University's webpage. She has given several ""Author"" talks and even spoke to a fifth grade graduation class about her writing. Marion has been a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She is married and has three children and two grandsons."
