Educated at the University of California at Berkeley and at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Walker has taught, lectured, written, and served as an advisor to numerous public agencies while executing leadership of several firms including Sasaki Walker and Associates in 1957 (which became The SWA Group in 1979) and Peter Walker and Partners in 1983 (now known as PWP Landscape Architecture).
