Each chapter outlines targeted areas, from basic safety to developing family and community partnerships, in which school-age professionals need to excel, in order to provide high-quality care for children. The book not only provides pertinent background knowledge school-age professionals need to succeed, it reviews relevant examples, complete with challenges and solutions, to support practical application. Tracy Galuski, PhD, is associate professor, faculty online coordinator, and department chair of educational studies at Empire State College, State University of New York. She earned her PhD in elementary education/early childhood education from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Arlene Rider, PhD, is professor, online curriculum coordinator for educational studies, and chair of the curriculum committee for social and behavioral sciences at Empire State College, SUNY. She has 18+ years experience with Network for Youth Success as an instructor, advisor, and endorser.
