She holds a M.Ed. in Educational Measurement (Distinction, UWI); BA in Literatures in English and Sociology (UWI); Postgraduate Diploma in Language Education (Distinction, UWI) and is currently enrolled in Ph.D. in Education, UWI. Her areas of specialization are English Language, English Literature, Sociology, Literatures in English and Educational Measurement. Mrs. Williams-McBean has over nine years of teaching experience at the secondary level. She has taught English Language, English Literature (grades 7 - 11) and Sociology (grade 12). At the tertiary level, she lectures on Issues in Internal Assessment which focuses on issues in school-based assessment especially as offered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC). She also lecturers Classroom Testing and Evaluation, The Assessment of Teaching and Learning, The Study and has supervised students on their Field Experience (practicum). Her research interests are School Based Assessment, Formative Assessment, Educational Measurement, Teacher Professional Development, English Language Learning, Gender and Performance in English Literature.
