Author Information

Tarra Trachsel Green lives in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, with her wonderful husband, Darrell, and their two sons, Aaron and Rowan. She is a Graduate of McMaster University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology Honors Degree and of Queen's University, Faculty of Education with a Bachelor of Education Degree. Currently, Tarra is an elementary school teacher for the Avon Maitland District School Board, and is teaching in the primary grades. Her students were the first children to hear this story and inspired her to publish it. She writes, paints, and creates in her free time; and is the creator and owner of www.kidsplayperth.ca, a website that focuses on events and activities for kids in the Perth County area of Ontario. She has written several more books, which she would also like to publish in the near future. Tarra grew up outside of Stratford, on a dairy farm near Tavistock. She has spent most of her life living in the Stratford area, often lured to the Avon River for walks and to feed the swans....
