OverviewThe issue of reproductive rights and access to safe abortion has been a subject of debate and discussion for several decades in different countries, including India and the United States. This study aims to explore the legal frameworks, policies, and cultural factors that affect the realisation of reproductive choices and access to safe abortion services in these two countries. Using a comparative research design, this study employs a mixed-methods approach to examine the legal frameworks and policies related to reproductive rights and access to safe abortion in India and the US. The study analyzes the cultural factors that impact the realisation of reproductive choices and access to safe abortion services in these two countries and identifies the challenges and gaps in the implementation of reproductive rights and safe abortion services. Based on the findings of the study, the paper provides recommendations for improving the implementation of reproductive rights and safe abortion services in India and the US. The study's findings are useful for policymakers, healthcare providers, and civil society organizations working to improve reproductive health outcomes and access to safe abortion services in these two countries.
