Both volumes end in an Afterword; relating the mythological themes and motifs of the stories to crucial aspects of contemporary experience.

Author Information

Lindsay Clarke is one of Britain’s best known modern novelists. He is author of The Chymical Wedding, and won the Whitbread Prize for literature in 1989. He works extensively with mythology and legend in both his writings and in workshops in the UK and abroad.
