Overview

Being an only child can have its ups and downs, especially when you are the last of three. Heaven, the youngest sibling in her family, misses having her older sister and brother around, never realizing she has the best of both worlds-hugs and kisses from mom, cooking with dad, and random visits when her siblings come back to town. Plus, all the rooms belong to her, and the best part, her dog Aubrey, spoils her and never shares her secrets. I Don't Like Being the Baby , by Heaven B. Smith, highlights the importance of family and serves as a delightful reminder, each person plays a special role in their family. Eventually, everyone much leave the nest, so remember to enjoy your family while you.

Author Information

Heaven B. Smith was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Heaven, currently a 12-year-old 8th grader, dreams of becoming a gymnastics coach. At the young age of six, Heaven began teaching herself the art of gymnastics, watching YouTube videos, and practicing what she observed. Her mom, Michelle Knight, continued to watch Heaven's talent grow, thus deciding to sign her up for gymnastics classes. Upon tryouts, Heaven was immediately accepted into level four as a competing gymnast. Currently, Heaven has maintained her place as one of the top 100 gymnasts in the United States, becoming #1 for her age group and level in the nation. Heaven Smith has her future mapped out. She plans to attend UCLA or LSU to become a gymnastics coach and teach young girls to achieve their goals of becoming gymnasts. Heaven is thinking about the Olympics, but for now, she is enjoying her journey as a budding author and creative.
