Her research has focused on planning theory, comparative public policy, urban redevelopment, and citizen participation. Among her books are Urban Political Movements, Restructuring the City, The City Builders (Second Edition, 2001), and Divided Cities (co-edited with Ian Gordon and Michael Harloe; Blackwell, 1992). Scott Campbell is Assistant Professor of Urban Planning and Policy Development at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. . His research has focused on defense-industrial cities, regional and environmental planning, and German cities.
