Reviews

"“The editors have graced us with a reprise of their outstanding 5th edition of this textbook with chapters by almost all of the previous, very distinguished, experts. Attention to older adults and clinical judgment is particularly noteworthy, as is the attention to the current ICD and DSM diagnostic systems. It is concise, readily supplemented, and will not overwhelm students with dense and lengthy material. The book is a gem."" Barry A. Edelstein, Eberly Family Distinguished Professor, Department of Psychology, West Virginia University, USA ""The challenge of not only describing, but also trying to explain clinical problems is a daunting one, but Psychopathology does a superb job. Students' understanding and appreciation of key issues in the etiology, assessment, and treatment of psychopathology will increase tremendously by reading this text."" Bethany Teachman, Professor and Director of Clinical Training, Department of Psychology, University of Virginia, USA Praise for previous editions “As with previous editions, this volume is highly readable, well-organized, scholarly, and comprehensive. Maddux and Winstead have again produced an indispensable work for graduate-level education in understanding and treating mental illness. Written by acclaimed experts in that particular topic, each chapter follows a similar format which makes the material accessible to both students and instructors alike. More importantly, the authors present the up-to-date empirical work guiding research, assessments, and interventions. Updated to reflect revisions to both the DSM and the ICD and advancements in the field, this is an essential textbook for training future mental health professionals.” Stephen M. Saunders, Professor, Department of Psychology, Marquette University, USA"
