She developed and directed the Health Psychology Service at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System for 18 years. She is currently Professor Emerita of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry. Board certified in clinical health psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, she also has interests in ethics and chairs the Social/Behavioral Institutional Review Board at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
